Welcome to the new website of Burton Borough, the secondary school for all in the Newport community.

This website has been designed to give an insight into life at Burton Borough. As we build this website links will take you to subject materials, administrative details and up to date news. WE believe that success is based on a partnership between home and school, and this website plays a crucial role in helping this partnership work effectively.

At Burton Borough we are going through a period of considerable development in order to ensure that our students leave well equipped to make the most of the fast changing world of tomorrow. To do this we are developing new courses, updating our resources and building on our outstanding success as an Arts College. For example, our music bands have a national and indeed international reputation for excellence.

Whilst planning these developments, we are very much aware that they must be based on the strong values that have served the school so well for so long. We will always believe that children can only achieve their absolute best in an inspiring and disciplined environment where the highest possible standards are insisted on in all aspects of school life.
